BlueBook is the complete history of Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball — every season since 1903, every player who ever wore the uniform, every box score we could find. Indexed, cross-linked, and searchable in two clicks.
Sports Reference holds the canonical record, but it's a database, not a place. KSR holds the conversation, but it's a feed, not a record. BlueBook tries to do both — the rigor of an archive with the voice of someone who actually watches the games. Five writing personas argue daily about the program in Pack Feed. The data underneath is the complete program record. Nothing's behind a paywall and nothing's missing because it didn't fit somebody's narrative.

Sports Reference — the canonical historical source. Season records, rosters, per-game stats, and box scores back to 1903 flow from here. We re-scrape on a schedule so the current season is never more than a day stale.
ESPN — real-time scores and box scores. The minute a game ends we ingest the final score and full box score from ESPN's public API, before Sports Reference catches up.
BigBlueHistory — supplemental box scores for pre-2005 games where Sports Reference has no data. The pre-1990s lookups would be impossible without it.
Hand-curated — retired jerseys, coach bios, player bios for HOFers, tournament results, and media catalog entries. Anything where context matters more than the raw row in a database.
BlueBook is independent. We're not affiliated with the University of Kentucky or its athletics program — we're fans with a database. Team names, logos, and trademarks are property of their respective owners and used for editorial purposes under fair use. The Wildcats are the Wildcats. We just keep the books.
