Kentucky's first-ever All-American in 1921, Hayden captained the Wildcats to their first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament championship. His jersey hangs in Rupp Arena without a number — jerseys were unnumbered in his era — and he lived to age 103, remaining UK's oldest former athlete until his death in 2003.
