A Parade All-American from Denver, Colorado, Williams was a 6-6 forward who played 122 games at Kentucky and was part of the 1978 national championship team, contributing 6.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers and was one of several elite recruits who chose Kentucky specifically because they wanted to compete for national titles under Joe B. Hall.
