Brassow signed his letter of intent in 1988 just as the NCAA investigation was closing in on Kentucky, and he stayed when others wouldn't — making him one of the loyalists who helped rebuild this program from the ashes. He played 122 games across five seasons, reached the 1993 Final Four, and earned All-SEC Tournament honors in 1994, once dropping 25 points at LSU with seven three-pointers in the second half. Only the second player from Texas to play at Kentucky since Bob Burrow, Brassow's commitment during the darkest years should never be forgotten.
