Ford transferred from Missouri to run Rick Pitino's press-and-shoot system and became the first player in Kentucky history to make 100 three-pointers in a single season, hitting 101 at a blistering 52.9% clip in 1992-93 while leading UK to the Final Four. He won back-to-back SEC Tournament MVP awards, set the school record with 50 consecutive free throws, and finished his career ranked among UK's all-time leaders in three-point percentage. Ford went on to coach Division I basketball for 24 seasons at four schools, proving that Pitino's coaching tree runs deep.
