Forget Tyran Stokes. The Recruit Who Decides Kentucky's Season Commits at 10 AM Monday.
While Big Blue Nation spends Monday refreshing for Tyran Stokes updates, the recruit who actually changes Kentucky's ceiling commits at 10 a.m. ET — and his name is Miikka Muurinen. A 6-foot-10 Finnish five-star who spent this season banging in the EuroLeague with Partizan Belgrade, Muurinen is the No. 2-ranked power forward in the 2026 class, choosing between Kentucky, Arkansas, Indiana, North Carolina, NC State, BYU, and Illinois. Pope's roster is already a tournament team — Diallo and Wilkins in the backcourt, Mason Williams and the Hawthorne brothers on the wing, Trent Noah back for year three, Ousmane N'Diaye signed Friday to plug the frontcourt. That's the floor. Muurinen is the ceiling — a stretch-five prototype with one-and-done lottery upside and the kind of skill set that turns a fringe Sweet Sixteen team into a Final Four pick. Stokes will get the headlines. Muurinen wins the season.
