Eight of the Top Ten Visited Lexington. None of Them Are Wearing Blue.
Eight of the top ten recruits in the 2026 class visited Lexington. Sixteen of the top thirty walked through the Joe Craft Center. Kentucky landed exactly one of them — Mason Williams, son of Mo — while Tyran Stokes picked Kansas for $7 million, Caleb Holt and Christian Collins (both top-10 prospects Pope was reportedly leading for) went elsewhere, and the staff watched every chip they shoved across the table on Stokes get raked away. Now the 2026-27 roster is being stitched together from James Madison, Furman, and a 22-year-old Senegalese pro who isn't even NCAA-cleared yet. Year three just got a lot heavier — and "bad luck" isn't the diagnosis. This is what happens when the whole plan was Plan A.
