Edwards was part of three consecutive national championship game appearances from 1996 to 1998, winning two titles along the way, and during his four years Kentucky went an astonishing 132-16 with three SEC championships. He averaged 9.2 points as a senior on the 1998 'Comeback Cats' and brought elite defensive intensity to every game he played. Edwards later became a Division I head coach at Wyoming, where he won the 2017 CBI Championship in his first season.
