Ramsey helped Kentucky win the 1951 NCAA championship and was a key member of the 1953-54 squad that went 25-0, the only undefeated season in program history. He went on to win seven NBA championships with the Boston Celtics, where he pioneered the 'sixth man' role that revolutionized professional basketball strategy, earning induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
