The 1957 Kentucky Mr. Basketball, Lickert averaged 14.7 points per game across three seasons under Adolph Rupp and was a three-time All-SEC First Team selection. He earned Helms Foundation Second Team All-American honors as a senior and was known as one of the most accurate shooters in program history.
