The 2013 Kentucky Mr. Basketball from Madison Central who earned his scholarship offer from Calipari after winning a state championship at Rupp Arena, Hawkins turned down schools where he would have been a star to live out his dream of playing at Kentucky. He played 121 games across four seasons including the 2014 championship game and the 38-1 run, and his lockdown defense earned him SEC All-Tournament Team honors as a senior — proving that homegrown Kentucky kids belong at the highest level.
